SCS not OCS...

Yeah I am posted to SCS a.k.a. Specialist Cadet School. Disappointed? It's a lie if I say i'm not. Yeah I was aiming for OCS but I'm not sad that I'm posted to SCS cos I still get to lead others and see my bmt mates. However, while I was bathing just now, I recalled what Yong Kok told me during Jobweek, "Zhengyi, the leaders and I think that you will eventually make it to OCS." I questioned, " why?" He replied, " cos we believed you got the capabilty and u "up" also mah" People may question how come I still rmb what yk said but what he said to me has impacted me greatly and allowed me to strive for the best in BMT and everything I do. I will not say I have disappointed the leaders nor myself. I see SCS as another platform for me to perform and stretch my potential to the max. Like wad prash had told me this morning, " Have faith in yourself!" Many possible reasons y i'm not chosen for ocs. But i shan think abt it now and prepare myself for monday's book in at Pasir Laba Camp. Let's start afresh liuliu! With Pride We Lead!

    Hello soontobejunior, i was an inspiring-oct-wannabe throughout bmt too cos practically all my friends are officers. And i WAS sad that i got posted to scs, especially when i found out the ridiculous reason why i missed entry to ocs (poly-jc thing). But after awhile, i found out that the people in scs especially the warrants, are very very dedicated to being specialists. They wouldn't trade their lives as specs to be officers even if they had the chance to.

    Yeah its cool to have those bar(s) on your rank and be on top of the world as an officer, but you'll come to know that as much as everyone thinks specs are 2nd to officers, they actually have no line of comparison to each other as their function in the army goes on 2 totally different paths.

    "What they are, we are not. But what we are, they will NEVER be!" - you'll soon hear these kind of things that certainly will cheer you up somehow and you'll probably come to really enjoy your stay in scs, hopefully. :)

    Anyways, see you around tomorrow! 1st day's quite slack, just alot of admin things to do.
